The Fifth Element

Nature’s forces shape us, mold us, and guide us—until we finally recognize that the greatest force is the quiet power of our own being.

WIND

The wind tonight flows through the trees,

To lands I knew, to distant seas.

It leaves a trail of thoughts once mine,

Then fades—and still, I stand in time.

WATER

The tide rolls in with whispered grace,

It mirrors back a younger face.

It pulls at dreams I’ve cast away,

Then carries them into the bay.

FIRE

The firelight dances low and slow,

It flickers with a crimson glow.

It stirs the warmth of love once near,

Then dims, but does not disappear.

EARTH

The ground beneath holds roots and stone,

A quiet strength I’ve always known.

It bears the weight of who I’ve been,

And waits, unchanged, through loss and wind.

MYSELF

In stillness, where no voices stray,

The world grows soft, then steps away.

And in that hush, I start to see—

What’s left behind is simply me.
