A Journey Home Beneath One Sky

Written on a quiet day during the Mid-Autumn moon, this poem reflects on solitude, belonging, and the quiet companionship of the universe.

It is quiet today,

only the sound of rushing water—

the earth breathing softly beneath me,

reminding me I am alive.

This morning I walked a trail,

not knowing what waited beyond the bend,

only trusting each step forward

to lead me somewhere meant to be.

At the end, I saw the moon beside the sun,

night and day sharing one sky.

How strange, how beautiful it was—

light meeting its reflection.

The moon is never gone,

only hidden from sight.

Like those I love,

its presence travels through time.

I have walked through silence,

written through longing,

dreamed through uncertainty,

and the moon has followed me.

It is my compass and my witness,

the quiet keeper of my hope.

One day I will build a home,

with laughter in its rooms.

But for now, I rest in my body,

the only home I’ve ever owned.

The universe hums within me—

I am never alone.

The sun may fade someday,

but not today.

Today I am here,

searching and found under the same moon.
