Courage Meets Destiny

Every man walks a path carved by God before he takes his first breath. No one can carry his battles or climb his mountains for him. Through wilderness, heartbreak, victory, and surrender, he becomes the man he was created to be. Not by force. Not by perfection. By faith.

For Dr. Kyle Van

Before his first breath,

creation already sang.

Rivers carved valleys,

winds shaped the mountains,

and the earth whispered,

Walk. Become.

He rises into a world

vast, unknowable, holy.

The cold air tests him,

snow stings his skin,

yet he climbs.

Some days he conquers peaks.

Other days, shadows conquer him.

For every victory,

another mountain waits.

For every step forward,

a deeper part of him is revealed.

The wilderness is not his adversary

but his mirror.

Who am I

when the armor falls?

When the world grows silent?

He journeys to understand

the man he is

and the man he is called to be.

In the lonely places,

he learns patience.

In the storm,

he learns courage.

In the quiet,

he learns to hear God.

Beyond the masks of strength,

he discovers gentleness.

Beyond the demands of the world,

he discovers purpose.

He shapes his destiny

not by force,

but by faith.

As iron sharpens iron,

so one man sharpens another.

Such truths echo in him

as he walks through valleys

and stands on summits

few dare to climb.

Until the day comes

when he no longer wrestles

with the wind.

He bows his head,

open hands, open heart,

and surrenders.

It is then God answers.

In God’s perfect timing,

she appears.

The woman who sees his soul,

who walks beside him.

With her, love is not a question.

It is home.

Love becomes his devotion.

Family becomes his legacy.

And his heart understands

why he endured every storm.

“Under heaven’s grace, a man is born to journey and explore to find himself through God’s image and cherish what he is prepared to live and die to protect, to support, and to love.”
